First Selection 2013

First Selection 2013

Ruby red with brick coloured rim. Nicely perfumed in a more elegant style with orange peel, licorice and violets. This year the melnik grape gives cherry, violet and pepper to the taste, while cabernet sauvignon gives richness, dark berries and licorice. Stringency in both acidity and tannic structure, and a long finish. This is not a blockbuster wine, but a complex wine made for ageing. The aim with First Selection is to produce the best wine possible from the Abdyika vineyard.
